Tickets Now Available for 2010 Solano Wine & Food Jubilee
January 8, 2010
Tickets to Solano County's biggest party - the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee - are now available.
The 23rd Annual Solano Wine & Food Jubilee is the primary fund-raising event for NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement programs, and it returns to the Nut Tree Complex in Vacaville on April 23, 2010, where it will be held under an even bigger tent than ever before.
The bigger tent comes courtesy of the Total Home & Garden Show, which will be held at the Nut Tree Complex the weekend before the Jubilee.
Total Home & Garden Show organizers offered to support the Jubilee by leaving their tent in place and offering it to Jubilee organizers. They have also offered another incentive: two free tickets to their event for every Solano Wine & Food Jubilee ticket sold.
"We're so pleased to be able to team with the Total Home & Garden Show in this way," noted Brett Johnson, NorthBay Healthcare Foundation president.
"This larger tent and greater number of vendors means our ticket-holders will receive more for the ticket price, even though the price has not changed in years." The area's premiere food and wine tasting event will feature, as it always has, an irresistible array of sweet and savory samples from some of the area's most notable wineries, breweries, restaurants and merchants.
This year's larger venue means even more vendors will participate in this gourmand's gala, providing ticket-holders with a wider selection of foods, wines, brews and desserts from which to sample. In addition to the tempting tastes offered by food, wine and brew vendors, ticket-holders will have a hard time resisting the salsa beat of dance band sensation Sapo Guapo.
Others may find perusing the array of items in a silent auction more to their liking. A raffle, with a total of $20,000 in cash prizes, is on tap again this year and is a highly anticipated part of the evening. The first prize is $10,000, while others could win one of five $1,000 cash prizes, or one of 10 $500 cash prizes. Tickets for the raffle are $50 each or buy four and get the fifth free.
Solano Wine & Food Jubilee Presenting Sponsors Sacca Family's Burger King Restaurants, the Nut Tree and The Hofmann Company lead this year's efforts to support NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement programs.
Hospice services are available to all, regardless of their ability to pay, and they include access to an integrated program of physical, emotional and spiritual care for the terminally ill, allowing these patients - and their families - to live their final days as peacefully and as comfortably as possible.
The Solano Wine & Food Jubilee, a black tie-optional affair, gets under way on the grounds of Nut Tree Complex beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, for those ages 21 and over, must be purchased in advance and are $75 each. To purchase tickets, call (707) 646-3133, or go online at www.wineandfoodjubilee.org.
